Interview Summary

In this interview, Bill Bartleman provides biographical information leading up to his forty year career as a reporter for the Paducah Sun covering state government. He provides insights on the administration of former Governor Julian Carroll and the role of western Kentucky politicians from 1931-1979 and how they changed the region. Bartleman gives useful insights into changes in the Democratic Party, the growth of the state GOP, and changing nature of politics in western Kentucky. He also talks about changes at the Paducah Sun.
