Interview Summary

Merrily Orsini graduated from North Little Rock High School in North Little Rock, Arkansas in 1965 and enrolled at Louisiana State University that fall where she spent two years before transferring to the University of Kentucky in 1967. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science in 1969. She was the first woman to run for Student Government president in U.K.'s history in 1968. In this interview she discusses growing up in North Little Rock, Arkansas during the Civil Rights Movement and the Cold War.
