Teri Blanton discusses how she became an activist; first on behalf of her family and later as a member of Kentuckians For The Commonwealth (KFTC), among other organizations. She talks about the early years of KFTC, her involvement in KFTC committees, and the significance of The Canary Project which initiated a flyover festival for local residents, authors, and government officials to see the effects of surface mining in Eastern Kentucky.
