Interview Summary
Bergman describes growing up on a farm in Ohio. Both of her parents worked on the farm, she worked on the farm, and so did her 7 siblings. Bergman went to the University of Dayton and got a Bachelor's in Elementary Education. She worked as an educator for 9 years, three of those spent in Germany with the D.O.D., then got a Master's in Library Science and taught in the Fayette County Public School district for 35 years. In her retirement, she has been active in the League of Women Voters and other volunteering positions in the community. As part of her work with the League, she helps with candidate forums, naturalization ceremonies, and voter registration.Interview Accession
