Interview Summary

Gertrude O. "Trudie" Musson discusses her time serving as an intern and staff member for U.S. politician John Sherman Cooper. She describes her time working with Cooper during his time as a senator in the early 1970s, and then her time working for him while he was an ambassador to East Berlin. Musson talks about her own experiences in East Germany, particularly Berlin, as well as the activities of John Sherman Cooper and his wife Lorraine Cooper.
