Interview Summary

Martin Tracy (Turkey, 1967-1970; Education Program) discusses his experience as an English as a Second Language teacher at an urban high school, a university, a village high school, and an elementary school during his two years as a Peace Corps volunteer. He also worked with merchants in the village to help develop menus in English for tourists. In addition, the interview includes a story about a village water system which illustrates the importance of involving stakeholders in community development. He also discusses his life and educational background both before and after joining the Peace Corps.
