Interview Summary
This interview was conducted in 2005 in South Bend, Indiana. Malits is the author of the book 'The Solitary Explorer: Thomas Merton's Continuing Journey.' In this interview Malits talks about Merton's early life before entering Gethsemani, his spiritual growth over time, and the struggles of monastic life.
