Interview Summary
Jakob Leichtman, an evacuated volunteer from Ecuador 2020, was in his final weeks of training as an English teacher with the TEFL program when he was evacuated back to the US with the rest of his cohorts because of Peace Corps worldwide response to the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020. Despite this setback, Jakob remained patient and persistent. At the time of this interview, Jakob was volunteering as a high school teacher in Chuuk, Micronesia, while awaiting the opportunity to return to Ecuador and continue his Peace Corps service.Interview Accession
