Interview Summary

In this episode, Glen Bastin first speaks with Earlene Johnson, an expert on Stephen Collins Foster. They discuss whether Stephen Collins Foster ever visited Kentucky, the song "My Old Kentucky Home," and its controversies.

Additionally, he meets with Tiffany Schoolfield, who owns a fish pond with koi fish and goldfish. They discuss the appearances of these fish, their value, as well as the fish pond Tiffany Schoolfield owns.

Then, Bastin meets with David Yancy of the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife to discuss venomous snakes. Glen Bastin also provides updates to Issue 7, Issue, 2, and Issue 6.

Bastin also interviews Eddie Philpot at Constitution Square State Park, located in Danville, Kentucky. They tour the jailhouse, Presbyterian church, post office, and Grayson's Tavern, among other buildings. Additionally, many historical facts are provided about the early history of Danville (Ky.).

Finally, Glen Bastin speaks with Pastor Wayne Smith of Southland Christian Church in Lexington, Kentucky. There is a sample of a sermon conducted by Pastor Smith. Bastin interviews Pastor Smith on his time as a pastor. Pastor Wayne Smith also reads a poem about Kentucky.
