Interview Summary

This is an interview with former University of Kentucky head baseball coach Keith Madison. Madison talks about growing up in Lindseyville, Kentucky and his transition from playing high school baseball into the professional minor leagues. When his playing career ended early due to injury, Madison talks about his early years coaching and then being hired by Ron Polk at Mississippi State. From there, he was hired by Cliff Hagan as the head coach at the University of Kentucky in 1979, and tells stories about his twenty-four years with Kentucky until his retirement in 2003. During that span, he covers his first season, as well as 1981, 1987, 1988, 1991 and 1993. He closes the interview by talking about setting up an evangelism event at Rupp Arena with Harold Morris which drew a crowd of 23,000 people.
