Interview Summary

Mickey Gatto served in Ecuador from 1968 - 1970 in the city of Ambato. Gatto began her service as secretarial support to the Campesino program. Gatto describes "finding my voice" while in training. During her service in Ambato, Gatto discovered her love of teaching which became a life-long career after returning to the US. Gatto recently participated in the Virtual Service Program pilot program, returning virtually to Ecuador to train teachers in English.
