Interview Summary

Kenneth E. Wilson (Malawi, 1997-1998; Health Program) discusses joining the Peace Corps in his early thirties and his work as a child health educator in Malawi. He describes cultural differences, food, and his living situations in two villages. Wilson talks about his Malawian counterparts and his Peace Corps friend who encouraged him to make a quilt. He discusses being evacuated from South Africa, twice, because of illness and then being sent back to the United States. In addition, Wilson describes the impact of the Peace Corps on his life and his return trip to Malawi.
