Interview Summary
John Crump was born and raised in Maysville, KY., but graduated from Manchester High School in Adams County, OH. in 1966. A musician he enrolled at Maysville Community College in the fall of 1968 for one semester and then transferred to the University of Kentucky in the fall of 1970. John was indicted in Mason County on March 26, 1968 for failure to report for his pre-induction physical prior to being drafted. He was defended by U.K. law professor Robert Sedler and was acquitted in September of 1969 of all charges. In this interview he discusses the 2020 pandemic and events that occurred on campus in 1968 as well as the aftermath of the violence that occurred during the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.Interview Accession
