Interview with Amy Beth Trainer, October 10, 2022

Project: Student Projects: Global Foodways Oral History Project

Interview Summary

This interview was to learn about the family history, the foodways and the recipe of my family's 'Gibson Three Meat Chili'. It all started in the 1930s with my great grandparents, then evolved a couple of times through my grandparents and parents. This started and evolved in Ohio. Currently, my immediate family lives in the suburbs of Chicago, IL, where my mom makes this chili for multiple annual traditional events.
