Interview Summary

Dr. Betty Bryson graduated from the University of Kentucky, College of Medicine in 1974 during a time when few women were seeking physician careers, especially in surgery. Dr. Bryson went on to become a general surgeon and surgery professor. She talks about her life growing up, years in high school and medical school, and her professional career. Dr. Bryson was one of eleven women in a class of 92 students.
