Interview Summary
Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (RPCV) Megan McDonell served as a Youth Development Specialist in Morocco from September 2019 - March 2020 when she was evacuated due to COVID-19 in the worldwide Peace Corps evacuation. She was the first Peace Corps Volunteer to serve in her site of service in the southern part of the country. She taught English and life skills to primary, secondary and high school girls and boys and English to adults. The highlight of her service was the creation of a youth public speaking program. This program increased self-esteem and confidence in high school aged youth and exposed them to other communities and other models for career choices post-high school.Interview Accession
