Interview Summary
Steve Bright grew up on a farm in Boyle County and graduated from Boyle County High School in 1966. He enrolled at the University of Kentucky in the fall of that year and became involved in Student Government getting elected as a representative, then Speaker, and eventually President in 1970 just before the student demonstrations at U.K. regarding the Kent State University killings by members of the Ohio National Guard. In this interview Steve discusses his experiences on the U.K. campus from 1966 through 1968.Interview Accession
