Interview Summary

Farris discusses his growing up in Gray, Kentucky and moving to Lexington (KY_, attending Lafayette High School, enlisting in the Army, serving during WWII, being deployed to Ft. Thomas, Kentucky, meeting his wife (Eva) and going into business (mentored by Mr. Seigal) as a "jobber" during their enterprises and experiences. Later in his career and life he became involved with philanthropy aiding various colleges, hospitals, high schools, and cultural organizations.
