Interview Summary
Sam Delaney spike of growing up in Crab Orchard, Kentucky ; learning electrician skills, attending college, and being in the Air Force. He talked of his public school service in Fayette County and running a florist shop. He and his wife Lillian bought a lot at the corner of Nantucket and Lansdowne in 1970 and had a house built where they raised their son, Poitier. He spoke a little of the negativeness directed toward them when they moved into the neighborhood. He was locally known as "Mayor of Lansdowne" for his involvement in the neighborhood.Interview Accession
