Anne Braden was a white southern anti-racist activist, organizer and journalist from Louisville, Kentucky. She also highlights the difference in personal methodology between she and Carl in their network-building and activism, or, rather, all the complexities that accompanied marriage to "a man and a movement". Braden talks about the process of movement-building, her involvement in and the organizational evolution of SCEF, the role of SCEF in Appalachia, the life and death of the Socialist Women's Caucus of Louisville and other personal efforts, as well as the myriad intersections of disparate movements during this time.
