The History of Kentucky's Community Colleges oral histories include interviews conducted with community leaders and early administrators, faculty, staff, and students associated with the early history of community colleges in Kentucky. This collection contains at least one oral history interview for each college including Ashland, Elizabethtown, Fort Knox, Hazard, Henderson, Hopkinsville, Jefferson, Jefferson-Southwest, Madisonville, Maysville, Northern, Owensboro, Paducah, Prestonsburg, Somerset, and Southeast Community Colleges. Interviews focus on the origins, implementations, impact and progress of Kentucky's community colleges, as well as the roles of those involved in the beginning decades of college development. The majority of the interviews in this collection have been funded by the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS).
